Clannad & Clannad AS (it’s not a review, just my simple thought)

~I warn you, spoiler ahead :P

So, I’ve spent my first quarter of holiday occupied by Clannad and Clannad After Story. No, I’m not playing the visual novel but watching the anime. I have to say that Clannad is a good (if not very good) one. Usually I hate lame drama, but Clannad is different. I can see why people was so moved and cried watching it. Well, I myself almost cried at some point especially episode 18. They are making a good scenario to deliver the heart-warming yet heart-wrenching scene. One thing that I think is the flaw, is the ending

Well, after reading some review and post comment of Clannad After Story, I see it’s not only me who got that kind of complaints. I have to agree that revival is a cheap way to end this amazing stories, making all the character development when Nagisa dies seems pointless.

Moreover It’s pretty hard to figure out how the reset happens. But I heard that it’s clear in the Visual Novel.

I found this good comment on one of the blogpost i read :

who would want to watch series where the main guy wakes up in the hospital only to find his wife and child are still dead, it might be reality, but it’s not entertainment.

Yeah, despite how the reset can happens, for me it’s a good thing that it reach the happy ending for the purpose of entertainment.

EDIT : I grow attached to Clannad characters. Haha… It happens too when I finished playing Persona 3. You know, it’s hard to leave them T_T
